Visiting the School

Parent visits are welcomed and encouraged. We ask that you follow district and school rules to insure that the attention of the teacher is not taken away from teaching your child/children. Parents and other visitors MUST check in and identify themselves with the main office upon arrival. Any visitor who causes disruption, distraction, or any other interference in the teaching and learning process will be asked to leave immediately. The Principal will have the right to have a disruptive visitor removed by school security and/or the police department as well as the right to prohibit the individual from participating in future visits to the school. Parents will not be allowed to walk students to the classroom after the first day of school. We will monitor students arriving and leaving school in order to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.

Please adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Babies and children that do not attend Carver Elementary and Arts Magnet School may not visit the classroom.

2. Please do not interact with the teacher and students during instruction.

3. All cell phones calls should be completed BEFORE entering the building.

4. Cell phones should remain on “silent” or “off” for the duration of the visit.

5. There will be a chair labeled, “Visitor”. This will be the chair that will be utilized so that upon entering the building, there is no interruption with instruction regarding where you should sit.
